osu! glossary
This glossary defines the osu! terms that show up on TrackMyOsu and on osu!'s own site — pp, top plays, rank, accuracy, grades, and the rest. Each entry has a short definition, an example, and links to related terms. Click any term for the full explanation.
- PP (performance points)
- osu!'s skill rating, calculated from your top 100 plays.
- Top play
- One of your 100 highest-pp plays — the only plays that count toward profile pp.
- Global rank
- Your worldwide ranking among all ranked osu! players, sorted by profile pp.
- Country rank
- Your rank among osu! players from your registered country.
- Accuracy
- How close to perfect each note hit was, expressed as a percentage.
- Grades (SS, S, A, B, C, D)
- Letter grades awarded per play, based on accuracy and miss count.
- Combo
- A streak of hits without a miss; max combo is the longest such streak.
- Ranked score
- Total score across all ranked plays — only counts the highest score per map.
- Total score
- Sum of every score from every play, ranked or not, including repeats.
- Play count
- Total number of plays you've submitted (passed or failed).
- Play time
- Total cumulative time spent in osu! gameplay, in seconds.
- Level
- A cosmetic milestone tied to total score — purely for show.
- Medal
- An achievement awarded once for hitting specific milestones.
