Play count
Play count is the total number of plays you've submitted to osu! — every full attempt counts, whether you passed, failed, or quit-out at the end. Retries on the same map count separately. Play count grows monotonically and is the simplest measure of how much osu! you've played. TrackMyOsu uses it as the heartbeat for tracking — when play count increases between refreshes, you've finished a new play.
Why play count drives our refresh logic
If your play count hasn't changed since the last refresh, none of your scores or top plays could have changed either, so TrackMyOsu skips the heavier API calls until play count moves. This keeps the tracker efficient.
